Tbilisi will host the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development on June 5–6, Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced during a municipal government meeting.
Kaladze highlighted the forum's growing significance, describing it as a vital platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing innovative strategies, and promoting long-term partnerships.
“This year, Tbilisi continues its tradition by hosting the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development under the theme ‘The Role of Peace in Sustainable Socio-Economic Development’,” Kaladze said. “The forum, which originated as the Tbilisi Local Economic Development Forum, has evolved into a key regional event, attracting a broader range of participants and addressing increasingly diverse topics.”
The two-day event will bring together high-level attendees, including Georgian government officials, mayors, members of local councils (Sakrebulo), international and local experts, business leaders, academics, and diplomats.
Topics on the agenda include sustainable economic growth, renewable energy, healthcare innovation, modern construction trends, real estate, sustainable tourism and hospitality, advanced technologies, spatial planning, and transport reform.
Kaladze expressed hope that the forum would strengthen collaboration and support the ongoing prosperity and development of the region.
