On November 24, in connection with the 10th anniversary of the Life is Beautiful charitable foundation, a solo concert of the beloved and legendary Italian singer AL BANO will be held at 20:00 pm at Tbilisi state concert hall for the Georgian listeners for the first time.
Albano Carrisi appeared on the music scene in the 70s of the previous century.
In 1967, he recorded one of his famous songs, Nel sole, which is still very popular among his fans. The record success did not delay: one million three hundred thousand copies were sold. In the same year, AL BANO took part in the Italian tour of the Rolling Stones.
AL BANO's albums have consistently topped the charts in the countries such as Austria, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and South America.
His worldwide recognition and success was also reflected by well-deserved awards, 26 gold and 8 platinum records. In 1980, he won the Kawakami Award in Tokyo (at the Yamaha Pop Music Festival). In 1982, he received the Gold Europe Award in Germany. In 1982, AL BANO set an absolute record in Italy with four songs in the charts at the same time. In 1984, he won the Sanremo Festival with the song "There will be" along with his wife Romina Power.
