Public transport in Tbilisi will operate on an extended schedule on New Year’s Eve, with free service available for passengers, Tbilisi City Hall announced.

The Tbilisi Metro will run until 3:00 AM on January 1, while city buses will also operate until 3:00 AM, instead of their usual 11:00 PM closure on December 31. During this extended period, both metro and bus services will be free of charge.

In addition, the Rike–Narikala cable car will be available to passengers from 10:00 PM on December 31 until 3:00 AM on January 1.

For Orthodox Christmas Eve, the Tbilisi Metro will again offer extended service, operating from midnight on January 7 until 3:00 AM, with free rides provided during this time.
