Tbilisi Mayor and former national team captain Kakha Kaladze extended warm wishes to Georgian fans and veteran players ahead of the second match of the Legends Series, set to take place on May 16 at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Georgian football icon Shota Arveladze, former Barcelona star Javier Saviola, and UEFA Champions League winner Jari Litmanen, Kaladze shared his enthusiasm for the high-profile event.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome such legendary teams to our country and our beautiful capital,” Kaladze said. “Barcelona is a club with a rich history and a huge Georgian fan base. Events like this allow supporters to see their idols up close. I’m especially excited to hear that Ronaldinho will be arriving tonight—I've had the honor of playing both with and against him during my career at Milan. It’s always special to reunite with former teammates and rivals. I’m confident tomorrow’s match will be both exciting and memorable.”
The match will feature veteran Georgian footballers facing off against Barcelona legends, continuing the Legends Series that began in Batumi in 2023. Kaladze himself will take the field once again in what promises to be a nostalgic and thrilling encounter.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time at Dinamo Arena.
