
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze met with the newly appointed French Ambassador to Georgia, Olivier Courteau, according to a statement from Tbilisi City Hall.
During the meeting, Mayor Kaladze welcomed the ambassador and expressed his appreciation for the visit, wishing him success in his diplomatic role.
“I confirm the respect of the Georgian people and myself for France and the French people. I wish you success in strengthening the relationship between our two countries. We are fully committed to friendship and cooperation,” Kaladze said.
Ambassador Courteau, in turn, congratulated Kaladze on his re-election and expressed optimism about the city’s future.
“I have the utmost respect for Georgia’s culture, history, and religion. The first thing I did upon arriving was visit Mtatsminda, as a gesture of respect for the Georgian people. Tbilisi is a beautiful city, and I hope it continues to thrive,” he said.
