According to the National Wine Agency of Georgia, the 2-day meeting focused on trade barriers, international trade opportunities and the search for more export markets for Georgian wine.

The Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Otar Shamugia opened the meeting. As part of the event, the meeting participants visited wine companies in the Shida Karli region.

Georgia was handed over the WWTG chairmanship for 1-year term from the US at the annual meeting in Brussels last year.

The WWTG members are Georgia, the US, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, and Uruguay.
