Within the framework of GITA 2.0, the chairman of Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency, Avtandil Kasradze, briefed the visitors on the priorities and new initiatives determined by the government, which promotes the implementation of a new tax regime for startups and the growth of global scalability potential.

"The declared priorities of the Georgian government are to support the startup ecosystem, therefore, we have been actively cooperating with both European and American accelerators for years, and based on the new initiatives of the government, we will give the country even more new opportunities to position itself as a regional leader in the innovation ecosystem. It is very important when such large, globally successful accelerators are interested in entering Georgia, this once again indicates the significant achievements of the Georgian startup ecosystem", Avtandil Kasradze said.

More than 200 innovative startups with the global potential were financed by Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency, and the amount of grant funding amounted to 38 million GEL, and as a result, the funded startups received half a billion GEL of private financial benefits and created up to 3,000 new jobs.
