Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili (81kg) claimed the silver medal at the World Judo Championships in Budapest, Hungary, after falling to Timur Arbuzov in the final. Competing under a neutral flag, Grigalashvili showcased strong performances throughout the tournament before narrowly missing out on gold.

The championships, which began on 13 June, have so far brought two medals for Georgia. Earlier, on 15 June, Eter Liparteliani (57kg) delivered a flawless performance, winning all her matches by ippon to secure the world championship title.
