
“The national airline of Tajikistan, Somon Air, will start direct flights between Dushanbe and Tbilisi for the first time from May 22,” - the press service of the airline company reports.
Flights will be made once a week, on Wednesdays. The plane will take off from Dushanbe at 09:00 local time, and from Tbilisi - at 12:40. Passengers will be served by Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 model airliners.
"The Dushanbe-Tbilisi route is opening for the first time, and we will be happy to build an airbridge between the two countries, which will certainly bring the two peoples closer together. In addition, we are sure that this regular flight will give an impetus to the development and strengthening of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Georgia," said the general director of the airline, Abdulkosim Valiev.
To be informed, Somon Air is currently the only airline operating flights to Tajikistan. It flies from Dushanbe to Russian cities, as well as to Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
