It was noted at the session that the development of the flash flood guidance system of the Black Sea and Middle East countries will significantly increase the effectiveness of early warning about the expected rapidly developing floods in the region, including the territory of Georgia, which will help prevent and mitigate possible negative consequences. 
At the meeting of the committee, the data received by the flash flood guidance system of the Black Sea and Middle East countries were evaluated. Also, the gaps in the functioning of the flash flood guidance system in the region were discussed and the development strategy and further plans were developed. 
The heads and specialists of hydro-meteorological and emergency management services of the World Meteorological Organization, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine and Georgia attended the organizational session regarding the flash flood guidance system.
