
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea presented copies of his credentials to Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili.
Minister Botchorishvili congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as the first Resident Ambassador of South Korea to Georgia and wished him success. Both parties discussed the positive impact of South Korea’s Embassy opening in Tbilisi on Georgian-Korean cooperation and explored prospects for advancing relations in areas such as economy, education, tourism, and cultural exchange.
The Ambassador highlighted the successful collaboration between the two countries' legislative bodies and the importance of establishing an inter-parliamentary friendship group. Minister Botchorishvili expressed gratitude for South Korea’s support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
