As Tamar Ioseliani, Director of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, stated, the introduction of a single-window system aims to simplify and digitize the reports related to the formalities of ships entering or leaving the ports.
"We implement the projects with the help of our partners. It is planned to introduce a single-window system to the Georgian ports. This implies the digitization of ship registration procedures. With the EBRD funding, we are slowly moving on to the implementation of the second phase. This will allow us to fully deliver all services to customers at the ports. All this will be digitized and will allow us to reduce the time that is very important for the ship owner," - Tamar Ioseliani said.
To be informed, according to the 2021 report of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, USD 120,000 has been allocated for the study of the feasibility of introducing the concept of a single-window system to the Georgian ports.
