Shota Omarashvili Wins Double Bronze for Georgia at Para-Powerlifting World Cup in Tbilisi

Shota Omarashvili earned two bronze medals for Georgia on the second day of the Para-Powerlifting World Cup, currently underway in Tbilisi.
Competing in the men's 80kg category, Omarashvili secured third place in the individual event with a lift of 161kg. He also claimed bronze in the combined total, achieving an impressive 478kg across three attempts.
Georgia’s national team has so far collected six medals at the tournament. Alongside Omarashvili, Temo Dadiani, Miranda Gigashvili, and Tamar Chalatashvili have also reached the podium.
The Georgian squad features 28 athletes—20 men and 8 women—competing across various weight classes.
The event is hosted and organized by the Georgian Paralympic Committee.
