Sheep exports from Georgia decreased - where Georgian goats and sheep are exported

Exports of live goats and sheep from Georgia decreased compared to the same period last year. According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), within the first two months of 2022, 741 tons of sheep worth $ 1.7 million were exported from Georgia, while 893 tons, worth $ 2.4 million - within the same period last year.
A list of the countries, where Georgia has sold live goats and sheep this year, is as follows:
- Jordan - 473 tons ($ 1.1 million);
- Azerbaijan - 192 tons ($ 377.8 thousand);
- Egypt - 76 tons ($ 254.6 thousand).
It should be noted that last year the leading export countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates are no longer included in the list.
