Export of sheep from Georgia increased. In 7 months, live sheep and goats worth $15.3 million were exported from the country, while in the same period of 2022, sheep worth $9.2 million were taken to the export markets.
The list of export markets has been changed and expanded. This year, the largest volume of exports was made to Azerbaijan. In addition, Egypt and Jordan are no longer among the export markets, where sheep worth $1.19 million and $1.1 million were exported in 7 months of 2022.

The 7th month of 2023 is a record for the number of sheep exports. Sheep weighing 5028 tons were exported. However, in terms of value, 2021 was a record year, when sheep worth $16.5 million and a total weight of 4,973 tons were exported in the January-July period.
