
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), in July, 118.5 thousand tons of oil and oil products worth of $141.8 million entered Georgia, which in monetary terms amounted to 82.3% more than the indicator of the same period of the previous year (July 2021, $77.8 million, 116.6 thousand tons).
Oil import in July amounted to 12.7% of the country's total import.
The value of the imported oil and oil products has increased by 79.1%.
The list of the top trading partner countries in terms of oil import into Georgia in July is as follows:
1. Russia - 63.8 thousand tons ($70 million)
2. Romania - 25.4 thousand tons ($32.7 million)
3. Turkmenistan - 16.2 thousand tons ($20.1 million).
The Geostat data showed that gasoline prices in Georgian gas stations in July increased by 27.7%, while diesel prices - by 61%.
