The Georgian National Environment Agency has issued a warning about severe weather conditions in western Georgia, expected to last until February 27.
The forecast includes rain, snow, dense fog, frost, snowstorms, and icy roads, with a risk of landslides in hilly areas and a high avalanche risk in mountainous regions.
In response to the adverse conditions, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure has implemented special traffic regulations across Georgia, classifying the threat level as high. Heavy vehicles have been deployed to clear snow from central roads and highways and spread technical salt to improve road traction.
