According to the National Environmental Agency, adverse weather conditions are expected across Georgia on December 29–30.
In coastal areas, precipitation is forecast, with strong thunderstorms possible in some locations. Winds may intensify, and stormy conditions of up to 4–6 points are expected at sea. In the mountainous regions of Western Georgia, heavy snowfall, fog, blizzards, icy roads, and a high risk of avalanches are anticipated.
Due to heavy snow, poor visibility, icy conditions, and avalanche danger, traffic restrictions may be imposed on certain sections of roads.
The expected precipitation could lead to a significant rise in river water levels, while in hilly and mountainous areas it may trigger landslides and mudflows, posing a high level of danger.
