According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Georgia, the following citizens will be vaccinated against influenza free of charge:
Among the people with specific chronic disorders: individuals with diabetes; persons on dialysis; persons with hepatitis C (only those being treated); people with HIV/AIDS; persons with organ transplants and mucoviscidosis disease. Other priority groups are: beneficiaries of child (including small family type) and nursing homes and their care staff; pregnant women; elderly persons aged 60 and older; teachers of general education institutions (schools); staff of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
In addition, persons subject to compulsory vaccination were defined: medical staff, as well as other staff employed in medical institutions who have direct contact with patients; staff working with birds; livestock farm workers, hunters; veterinarians, contingent serving at early preschools and educational institutions; military servicemen going on international peacekeeping missions; compulsory military servicemen; staff working in a penitentiary institution.
Influenza vaccination is available at any clinic that usually provides immunization as standard. 200,000 doses of four-component SANOFI PASTEUR seasonal flu vaccine will be distributed in stages across the country.
