Speaking remotely during a court hearing, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili declared his readiness to play a decisive role in Georgia’s reunification and broader Caucasian unity, citing his historical experience, regional ties, and international reputation.
He emphasized that Georgia’s “salvation and great reconstruction” lie ahead and urged unity among the Georgian people and political forces. Saakashvili argued that Georgia could again become a major geopolitical player, referencing his influence in Ukraine and continued advisory role to President Zelensky.
He also vowed that once the political situation changes, Georgia will tighten visa and property regulations with Russia, criticizing the growing Russian influence in places like Batumi. He called for a new era in Georgia’s history—one that reclaims national identity, resists colonial influence, and reestablishes the country as a regional leader.
