
Tbilisi International Airport was recognized as one of the top five airports capable of handling 5 million passengers annually at Routes Europe 2025.
Other airports in the same category include Bremen Airport, Corfu Airport, London Southend Airport, and Vilnius Airport.
The Routes Awards acknowledge the outstanding efforts of airlines, airports, and destinations during 2023 and 2024, as well as their strategies for 2025.
In the summer of 2025, six new airlines, including British Airways, EasyJet, Edelweiss, and Transavia France, will enter the Georgian aviation market.
Tbilisi International Airport also achieved a significant milestone in 2024, setting a new record with a 29% increase in passenger traffic compared to the previous year and the pre-pandemic period, serving a total of 4,750,830 passengers.
