“Romania strongly supports the European integration of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia,” - the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said at a joint press point with French President Emmanuel Macron in Constanta, Romania.

Klaus Iohannis noted that the Associated Trio countries should benefit from an “optimal framework” for carrying out the reform linked to European integration, and a “unitary” approach based on their own merits and the progress in the reforms.

The Romanian President believes the candidate status should be granted to Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia as soon as possible as he claims “it is a morally and economically right solution, as well as a correct security solution.”
