The Georgian films restored in the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia were presented at the short film festival in Italy - Lago Film Fest.
The curator of the screening, Georgian film director Alexandre Koberidze, in cooperation with the National Film Center of Georgia and the National Archives of Georgia, presented the following films at the retrospective: "Gogi Ratiani" by Kote Marjanishvili (1927), "Kolkhida" by Soso Chkhaidze (1967), Bidzina Rachvelishvili's documentary "Khabazebi" (1970, preserved by Georgia in the National Archives), "Feola" by Baadur Tsuladze (1970), "Mekvle" by Goderdzi Chokheli (1981, preserved in the National Archives of Georgia).
"Khabazebi" and "Mekvle" have been digitally restored in the National Archives of Georgia in recent years.
"Lago Film Fest" will be held in Italy on July 22-30. The part of the retrospective of the Georgian films is called "A love letter to Georgian cinema in a focus curated by Alexandre Koberidze".
