“The Georgian National Tourism Administration hosted the ITB Berlin executives, the German tourism companies’ officials and the media representatives. The info-tour participants visited Bolnisi and Asureti (former Elizabetal) in Kvemo Kartli. They left Kvemo Kartli for Kakheti and visited Nekresi, Alaverdi, Kvareli and other famous tourist places, got acquainted with the rules of making local wine and tasted the wine, as well,” - the National Tourism Administration reports.
A culinary master class was held especially for the guests. After the tour, the German media representatives will prepare articles and reports on Georgia's tourism potential.
In 2023, Georgia will be presented as a host country at the Berlin International Tourism Fair.
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili, the ITB Berlin Exhibition Director David Ruetz and the Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration Medea Janiashvili signed a memorandum of cooperation on one of the largest international exhibitions in the field of tourism.
A presentation on the importance of the exhibition was arranged. It should be noted that the ITB Berlin held a B2B event abroad for the first time in Georgia, where the German tour operators met with their Georgian counterparts as part of a round table discussion.
