The re-export of light vehicles from Georgia continues to grow. The export rate in July of this year, compared to the same period last year, increased by 2.4 times. In July 2021, 5,946 cars worth of $ 42.9 million were re-exported from the country, while 9,172 cars worth of $101.4 million were sold this year.
The data have increased compared to the pre-pandemic 2019, when cars worth of $60.2 million were re-exported from Georgia.
The list of 10 countries where Georgia sold the most cars in July is as follows:
1. Azerbaijan - 2,652 units worth of $30.3 million;
2. Armenia - 1,449 units worth of $18 million;
3. Ukraine - 2,815 units worth of $28.9 million;
4. Russia - 580 units worth of $8.2 million;
5. Kazakhstan - 486 units worth of $4.7 million;
6. Kyrgyzstan - 773 units worth of $4.6 million;
7. Belgium - 55 units worth of $1.5 million;
8. Belarus - 44 units worth of $1.3 million;
9. Tajikistan - 224 units worth of $ 1.1 million;
10. Germany - 14 units worth of $870 thousand.
