
The rate of decline in wine exports has slowed down. According to the data of 7 months, wine worth of $121 million was sent to the export markets, which is only 2.9% less than the indicator of the same period of 2021.
Georgia’s largest export market is still Russia, with 59.6% of the total exports (with an income of $72.2 million). Poland ranks 2nd (with an income of $8.6 million), and China ranks 3rd (with an income $8 million).
Kazakhstan is included in the top five trading partner countries of Georgia with a revenue of $5.13 million and Ukraine - with a revenue of $4.9 million. There is a 27.7% increase in the US export market, from which the wine export income amounted to $3.143 million. This market is considered a strategic market in Georgia. The target indicator is that by 2025, sales in the American export market will reach 5 million bottles.
