
The National Environment Agency has issued a weather forecast warning of short rains, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and strong winds across various regions of Georgia on July 16 and 17.
In Tbilisi and along the Black Sea coast—including Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, and Poti—short showers are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +33 to +35°C in Tbilisi and +28 to +32°C in western coastal areas.
Strong winds are forecasted in mountainous regions of western Georgia, particularly in Mestia and Bakhmaro.
In eastern Georgia, regions such as Shida Kartli (Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, Tskhinvali) and Kakheti (Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro) are expected to experience short rains and hailstorms, with temperatures ranging from +34 to +36°C.
In the mountainous zones of eastern Georgia, temperatures will be cooler, between +20 and +25°C.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to hail or strong winds.
