Shovi is located at 1600 meters above sea level, 265 km from Tbilisi. The climate is medium alpine. Winters in Shovi are cold and summers are moderately warm (average temperature in August is about 17 °C degrees Celsius).

 Valuable Real Estate Development Company 'Simetria' ( www.simetria.ge/en ) has been actively involved in resort development since 2017. The main partners for the implementation of the unprecedented mountain resort development project in the region are the Sunset Shovi Hotel, G&M Shovi-Racha Resorts, and Mamisoni Guesthouse, which are located in the main area of the resort's historical territory. 

According to the approved concept of the current resort development project, it includes the creation of 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star hotels, cottages, sports, recreational, and wellness infrastructure, aiming to make the resort a desirable destination for all four seasons and provide diverse recreational opportunities. The required investment for the implementation of the approved concept for the development amounts to 130 million dollars.
