Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Badra Gunba, the so-called elected president of occupied Abkhazia. During the meeting, Putin commented on the “turbulent” election campaign in Abkhazia but emphasized that the important outcome was that the people had expressed their opinion.

Putin assured that Russia would assist Abkhazia in addressing its electricity shortages and ensure the provision of humanitarian supplies.

In response, Badra Gunba expressed gratitude for Moscow’s support, highlighting that with Russia’s backing, Abkhazia has the opportunity to develop and establish economic relations.
