The National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) calculates the inflation rate as a result of a monthly survey of the prices of 305 consumer goods and services.
The list of food products that increased in price the most in September 2023 compared to the same period last year is as follows:
Herbs - annual price increase of 75%;
Cabbages - annual price increase of 59%;
Grapes - annual price increase of 47%;
Peaches - annual price increase of 28%;
Kiwis - annual price increase of 25%;
Pears - annual price increase of 23%
Watermelons - annual price increase of 22%
Tomato paste - annual price increase of 21%
Potatoes - annual price increase of 16%.
