“The Prime Minister’s visit to China is of great importance for relations between the two countries,” said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, commenting on the ongoing visit.

According to Botchorishvili, discussions will focus on deepening economic cooperation and enhancing connectivity between Georgia and China.

“Georgia’s participation as the guest of honour at the Shanghai Expo is a significant opportunity to further strengthen economic ties,” the Minister noted. “The meeting between the two Prime Ministers will allow for an exchange on cooperation across various sectors.”

Botchorishvili emphasized that the visit carries broader significance in the global context, particularly regarding East–West connectivity and the development of the Middle Corridor. “Our partnership with China in this direction is of special importance, and this visit provides another excellent opportunity to advance bilateral and economic cooperation,” she added.
