The visit of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili to Baku and his participation in the Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) will “give additional impetus to strengthening Georgia-Azerbaijan relations,” said Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze.
According to the Ambassador, President Ilham Aliyev invited the PM to the forum as an Honourable Guest.
Zurab Pataradze said the Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with Ilham Aliyev to discuss political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian issues.
“Among the issues will be the renewable energy and the Black Sea Submarine Electric Cable projects, which will contribute to energy security and export to European countries. The PM will highlight transport corridor-related logistic issues and will stress the significance of expanding and completing the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway project,” - Zurab Pataradze stressed.
On November 24, the Georgian PM will attend the Baku Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).
The Prime Minister will deliver a speech at the Summit of Heads of State scheduled within the scope of the forum, which this year is chaired by Azerbaijan and marks the SPECA’s 25th anniversary.
