President of the Business Association of Georgia: The business climate index in Georgia has significantly improved, which is due to the double-digit economic growth

The President of the Business Association of Georgia noted the business climate index in the trade sector improved by 1.8 points in the last quarter of this year than it was in the fourth quarter of 2019, i.e. the business climate index in the trade sector fell and slightly ahead of the corresponding period of 2019. 

However, the employment barometer in the construction sector, which is the second component of the study, has reached pre-pandemic levels.

"We’ve seen a double-digit economic growth and the macroeconomic picture has improved. We work with all of the Ministries, but I must mention the share of the Ministry of Economy in this, the steps taken by them are very important. We have a lot of meetings; we were involved in different groups during the pandemic, a lot of interesting things were done by the companies. The steps taken naturally reflected on the results," - Soso Pkhakadze said.
