President Mikheil Kavelashvili of Georgia embarked on his inaugural official visit to Azerbaijan, where he was warmly welcomed by President Ilham Aliyev at the Zuğulba Presidential Palace in Baku.​

The two leaders underscored the exemplary strategic partnership between their nations, emphasizing the importance of continued bilateral cooperation across various sectors.​

President Kavelashvili expressed gratitude to President Aliyev for Azerbaijan's steadfast support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. He reaffirmed Georgia's commitment to fostering dialogue and diplomacy to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.​
