
The presentation of Georgian and Italian stamps dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Italy was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Georgian Post LLC and with the support of the Italian Embassy in Georgia.
At the event, the guests were addressed by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Guram Guramishvili, the General Director of the Georgian Post, Levan Chikvaidze, the Italian Ambassador to Georgia, Enrico Valvo. The event was held in the National Library of the Parliament of Georgia.
Both on the stamp prepared by the Ministry of Italian Enterprises and Italian Products, as well as on the stamp issued by the Post Office of Georgia, the Temple of Bichvinta painted by the Italian monk, Cristoforo Castelli, is depicted.
The Georgian postage stamp has been in circulation since December 2022 and is available in 81 service centers of the Georgian Post throughout Georgia. The postal order is now possible with the mentioned stamp. The author of the stamp is Baadur Koblianidze.
The circulation of postage stamps issued by the Georgian Post is 20,000 pieces. The circulation of the postage stamp printed by the Italian State Mint and Polygraphic Institute includes 350,010 pieces.
