Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has claimed that certain officials are unwilling to accept the Georgian people’s support for the government’s peace-oriented policies.
Speaking on TV Imedi’s weekly program, Kobakhidze said, “Some officials cannot come to terms with the fact that the Georgian people chose to place their trust in the government’s peace policy.”
He also alleged that efforts to undermine the government began before the elections. “There was a coordinated campaign against the government and the ruling team even ahead of the vote. We saw direct foreign interference in our democratic process. It failed—and any attempts at post-election blackmail will also be unsuccessful,” he stated.
