“Once, the European bureaucracy was marked by extraordinary statements concerning the events in Georgia, yet they failed to mention the violent actions that preceded those events,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in his remarks on the tragic killing of two individuals by U.S. federal immigration officers.
According to the Prime Minister, double standards are evident everywhere.
“Do you remember how, at one point, the European bureaucracy made remarkable statements about the situation unfolding in Georgia? They said nothing about the violent protests that preceded those events. You will also recall how they unjustly accused our law enforcement officers based on specific facts. That is what we remember about the European bureaucracy. Double standards are everywhere. It is a general observation I can make,” he stated.
