The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze appreciated judoka Lasha Bekauri (-90 kg division) for winning Georgia’s first gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.

“Lasha Bekauri turned 24 a few days ago, and at this age, becoming a two-time Olympic champion is an incredible success," - the Prime Minister said.

Kobakhidze also praised Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili for earning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.

“Thanks to our athletes for this extraordinary victory and the feeling of pride they gave us,” Kobakhidze added.
