
“As of January-July 2023, the import volume of petroleum bitumen amounted to 61.1 thousand tons, which is 11.1 thousand tons or 22.2% more compared to the indicator (50.0 thousand tons) of the same period of 2022,” - the Union of Oil Products Importers of Georgia reports.
During the 7 months of 2023, the largest volume of petroleum bitumen import was carried out from Russia - 27.1 thousand tons, which is 44.4% of all imports. Russia is followed by: Iraq - 19.4 thousand tons (31.7%); Turkey - 13.1 thousand tons (21.4%); Azerbaijan - 1.4 thousand tons (2.3%); Turkmenistan - 0.1 thousand tons (0.2%);
As of January-July 2023, the import volume of liquefied gas (LPG) amounted to 31.50 thousand tons, which is 9.66 thousand tons or 44.2% more compared to the indicator (21.84 thousand tons) of the same period last year.
During the 7 months of 2023, 99.6% (31.36 thousand tons) of liquefied gas (LPG) imports were made from the Russian Federation.
