
“The pension reform is one of the notable examples of successful reforms implemented by the government in recent years,” stated Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili during his presentation of the Pension Agency’s 2024 investment results.
He emphasized the importance of the Pension Agency’s role in social protection and economic development.
As he noted, by the end of 2024, the agency’s assets had reached 6.1 billion GEL, while the total generated income stood at 1.44 billion GEL.
“By the end of 2024, about 1.4 million people were enrolled in the pension scheme, and more than 15,000 individuals were benefiting from the accumulated pension (61.1 million GEL was issued in the form of pensions),” Khutsishvili explained.
It is also important to highlight the performance of the agency’s investment portfolios. The yield of the dynamic portfolio was 13.6% in 2024, while the yields of the balanced and conservative portfolios were 12.8% and 11.6%, respectively.
