
According to the data of the first seven months of the current year, the export volume of peaches from Georgia decreased. According to official statistics, the country earned 16 million 852 thousand US dollars by selling 15 461 tons of fresh peaches and nectarines.
During this period, the number of goods sold decreased by 7.2% annually, and the value by 9.3%.
In the first seven months of the year, peaches were exported to only 4 countries. The main export market was traditionally Russia, where 13,999 tons of peaches worth $15.9 million were exported. During this period, 1,424 tons of peaches worth $849,000 were exported to Armenia, 20 tons worth $16,000 - to Belarus, and 18 tons worth $14,000 - to Ukraine.
Azerbaijan, Slovenia and Kazakhstan were also among the exporting countries during the first seven months of 2022, although sales volumes were small.
