The Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, has confirmed that the date for electing the new president will be announced on November 26.

“The Parliament will set the date for the presidential election tomorrow. To ensure the president’s five-year term, both the election and inauguration must take place this year. This will be reflected in the date we decide upon,” Papuashvili stated.
