Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili will submit a written request to the President of Georgia to convene extraordinary parliamentary sessions on December 16–17.
Papuashvili said the request will include a list of issues proposed for discussion during the sessions.
At its meeting, the Parliamentary Bureau reviewed newly introduced legislative initiatives and decided to launch their consideration in parliamentary committees.
The proposed draft laws include amendments to the Law on Civil Security, the Criminal Procedure Code of Georgia, the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Customs Code of Georgia, and other legislation.
The Bureau also designated lead committees for each draft law to ensure their review proceeds under a simplified and expedited procedure.
