The Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and the Vice-Speaker Archil Talakvadze hosted Ukrainian children.
Shalva Papuashvili said the presence of Ukrainian children in Georgia acquires special importance not only from the point of view of parliamentary friendship groups as a tool of parliamentary diplomacy, but also in terms of deepening human relations.
"The fact that these Ukrainian children were able to arrive in Georgia and spend happy days here, the greatest contribution was made by Mr. Archil Talakvadze himself, who not only actualized the idea himself, but was also involved in the organization; he spent these days with them and even today, he is their leader in the parliament building. Therefore, I want to thank him and Mrs. Marchenko,” – Papuashvili stated.
The Vice Speaker Archil Talakvadze commended the RADA lawmaker Lyudmila Marchenko for organizing the trip to Georgia for Ukrainian youngsters. The Parliament Speaker emphasized that “friendship between the Georgian and Ukrainian parliaments is a powerful diplomatic instrument besides the personal bond.”
Ukrainian children toured the Georgian parliament and received symbolic gifts.
