The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia has accused certain political actors of misrepresenting the recent OSCE resolution to cast doubt on the integrity of the 2024 parliamentary elections and the electoral administration.
In its official statement, the CEC emphasized that neither the OSCE/ODIHR report nor the OSCE resolution alleged electoral fraud. Despite this, some individuals continue to spread misleading claims suggesting the elections were rigged—claims not supported by the OSCE findings.
The CEC highlighted that the OSCE/ODIHR positively assessed over 90% of precincts on Election Day and confirmed that 99% of electronic voting machines worked properly, with results matching manual counts. The process was deemed transparent and inclusive.
The Commission also responded to recent statements by Nino Lomjaria and the group “My Vote,” which alleged multiple voting without providing credible evidence. The CEC criticized these claims as politically motivated and lacking factual basis.
Reaffirming its openness to cooperate with impartial observers, the CEC condemned attempts to discredit democratic processes and pledged to counter misinformation with verified data to uphold the integrity of elections.
