According to the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, the visit to Ukraine will most likely take place in the coming days. He said the issue was urgent and expressed hope that it would be resolved by the end of the day.
As Shalva Papuashvili stated, a friendly and warm conversation took place between him and the speaker of the Ukrainian Rada, and Ruslan Stefanchuk invited him to Ukraine once again.
"We have found out many issues. He reaffirmed his invitation for our visit to Ukraine and express our solidarity with the Ukrainian people. This visit will probably take place in the coming days. We are now clarifying organizational issues.
My wish was for the delegation of the Speaker of Parliament to be multi-party. Yesterday we had a conversation with representatives of the opposition, I had an offer to have equal number of representatives, but we could not reach an agreement and then we offered each political group to have one representative. Although, in this case, the principle of equality is violated and the opposition will be represented in the majority, but given the existing circumstances, I think this offer is correct and therefore I ask the opposition to name their candidates in time. I will communicate with all political groups. It is not easy to organize a visit, it is a very urgent issue and I look forward to the participation of all political groups," said Papuashvili.
