Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has declared that his country will do “everything possible” to help Georgia “stay firmly” on the EU path, regardless of Brussels’ stance.

Speaking at a joint press point with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Orbán said Hungary “strongly” defends Georgia’s sovereignty both in bilateral relations and within EU territory.

“We always feel like Georgia’s ally and represent Georgia before the European Union in all the struggles that Georgia fights to defend its sovereignty and independence,” the Hungarian leader stated.
