
"One of our priorities is to make Georgia a hub for digital and financial services," – the Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili told journalists during the assessment of the Prime Minister's visit to Davos.
According to him, by talking to specific companies and attracting them to Georgia, it was possible for Georgia to become a truly distinguished country, a leader in the region, in terms of the introduction of innovative, modern technologies and the development of financial services. He added that Georgia would develop the new regulations over the year, which would manage this direction and create an opportunity to attract more international companies.
„The companies Ftx, Finance, etc., have expressed a desire to take an active part in the process of drafting legislation. We also had a meeting with the company Sales Force. It is a company with $ 100 billion in assets and more than $ 26 billion in turnover. This is one of the leading companies that has actually offered a new digital platform to the companies interested in the development of digital services, in general, Georgia has already made great progress in the development of digital services. We will be able to attract more IT, digital services and financial services companies to Georgia," - Levan Davitashvili said.
