According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the dynamics of tourism recovery in Georgia is proceeding with quite positive trends.
According to her, GEL 200 million will be allocated within the framework of the program initiated by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili for the development of the tourism sector, which will be fully used for the improvement of the tourism infrastructure in the country.
At the last meeting of the government, the Prime Minister spoke about the allocation of GEL 200 million for the development of new tourist locations and complete rehabilitation of the existing ones.
In addition, as the Deputy Economy Minister explains, the said money was allocated for the field of tourism based on its importance in the country's economy, and as a result, the country will receive new tourist destinations in different regions, new tourist infrastructure with international standards and new tourist products.
"First of all, this will contribute to the recovery dynamics of the tourism industry, enlarge the sector, create new jobs and, most importantly, strengthen small and medium-sized businesses in the regions," Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
