The Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili shared a screenshot of a Facebook event from February 22, 2022, stating, “If anyone has forgotten how they tried to drag us into war and destruction,” referencing a call from the Ukrainian Prime Minister urging Georgian citizens to ‘force’ the government to send fighters to Ukraine. At the same time, the ‘radical’ opposition and NGOs were organizing a protest rally.
